Bill Gibson (musician)
William Scott Gibson (born November 13, 1951 in Sacramento ) is an American musician and founding member of the band Huey Lewis & the News . In the group he plays the drums , but also masters guitar , piano and bass .
biography
Gibson's first band was Sound Hole , in which he played with Johnny Colla and Mario Cipollina . In 1975 the group released a single called Everyday (For The Rest Of My Life) . Together with Huey Lewis and Sean Hopper, the three musicians founded Huey Lewis and the American Express in 1979 and brought Chris Hayes into the band as guitarist.
After being renamed Huey Lewis & the News , they got a record deal. Since the release of their debut album in 1980, Gibson has been involved in recording all of the band's previous albums.
