Turesbach is a district of the municipality of Bodenwöhr in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf ( Bavaria ).

geography

Turesbach is located in the east of Bavaria in the Upper Palatinate in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park , about 1.2 kilometers west of the state road 2398 from Neunburg vorm Wald to Bodenwöhr. The place is 405 meters above sea level at the foot of the Hohe Brunst . East of the hamlet flows past the Zengerbach, which rises from the Eicherlberg and flows into the Gleixnerbach.

history

In 1622 Turesbach belonged to the Walderbach Monastery, as can be seen from interest books. In Düresbach there was therefore a farm, a mill and two residents. In 1762 Turesbach counted two hearths , four subjects who were subject to taxes and three residents who had no house or no land.

Church building

In 1820/21 the municipality of Taxöldern was established with 26 families, Pingarten with 12 families and the hamlet of Turesbach with 3 families. In the period that followed, the towns of Höcherhof, Kipfenberg, Pingarten, Turesbach and Ziegelhütte belonged to the municipality of Taxöldern. On July 1, 1972, the municipality Taxöldern was dissolved as part of the regional reform and was incorporated into the municipality of Bodenwöhr with its districts Höcherhof, Kipfenberg, Pingarten, Turesbach and Ziegelhütte.
