Tyler Ward (born March 12, 1988 in Denver ) is an American singer and songwriter . Ward became known through the video platform YouTube , on which he regularly uploads covers and his own songs.

Tyler Ward was best known for the covers of songs he presented on YouTube. His breakthrough came in the winter of 2010 with a cover of USA for Africa's song We Are the World , which received 1.5 million hits within a week. His first video was a mix of 40 songs from 2008. The most watched song by Tyler Ward so far is the cover of the song Payphone , which is originally played by Maroon 5 . For a large part of his covers he is supported by alternating other artists. He also calls this group his "crew". This also supports him on his tours. There they all call themselves "Tyler Ward and Crew". As an instrument he regularly uses a guitar and sings. Ward took singing lessons to improve his singing. He taught himself to play the guitar. He also plays bass, drums, piano and many other instruments.

Life

Before Tyler Ward took up music, he was very interested in sports. After graduating from high school, he attended the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School , where he pursued a college football career. However, he dropped out of school because he couldn't get used to the lifestyle that was lived there. Shortly thereafter, he began studying journalism at the University of Northern Colorado . At the same time he produced his first songs. In 2009 he founded the 'Tyler Ward Studios', which were established in various states of the USA. After making his breakthrough, Ward played as the opening act for the Jonas Brothers and The Fray . He played his first tour with Boyce Avenue in Europe and the USA in 2011. Due to his increasing success, he played a second tour of his own in the USA in the same year. His last tour started in October 2012. There were events in Germany , Austria, France , England , Switzerland and the Netherlands .

Europe 2012 tour

In October he played numerous concerts across Europe. Concerts in Germany took place in Cologne , Dortmund , Munich , Hamburg and Berlin , among others . Mainly own songs were played, but also covers.

North America 2011 tour

Ward played his first tour in the USA. In order to reach as large an audience as possible, there were concerts in several countries.

Europe 2013 tour

Due to the great success of the first European tour in 2012, he performed there again in October 2013. a. in Cologne, Berlin, Munich and Stuttgart.
