Tymoteusz Zimny (born March 14, 1998 in Biezdrowo ) is a Polish sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .
Athletic career
Tymoteusz Zimny gained his first international experience in 2015 when he reached the semi-finals over 400 meters at the Youth World Championships in Cali and was eliminated there with 47.53 seconds, while he was fifth with the Polish mixed relay in 3: 24.64 minutes Took place. The following year he retired from the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz with 47.14 s in the semi-finals and failed with the 4 x 400 meter relay with 3: 09.42 min in the lead. In 2017 he won the silver medal at the U20 European Championships in Grosseto in 46.04 seconds and secured the bronze medal with the relay in 3: 09.32 minutes. He then received a starting place in the relay for the World Championships in London and finished seventh in the final with 3: 01.59 min .
In 2019 he reached fourth place with the relay at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow in 3: 08.40 min and was then seventh in the B final at the World Relays in Yokohama with 3: 05.91 min. Then he classified himself in the U23 European Championships in Gävle in 46.52 s in the individual competition and with 3: 07.37 min with the relay in fourth place. At the end of October he was eliminated from the military world games in Wuhan over 400 meters with 22.18 s in the 200-meter run in the semi-finals and contributed to winning the silver medal with the relay by being used in the run-up.
In 2019 Zimny became the Polish champion in the 4 x 400 meter relay.
