The doctor Ajay Mehra is on a cruise ship with the unhappily married couple Nikhil and Reena, as well as with the happily unmarried couple Vicky and Natasha. There he falls in love with the waitress Piya at first sight, but she blocks from the start. With the help of Piya's colleague, Ajay secretly learns a lot about Piya's past and preferences. So he slowly but surely wins Piya's heart, not least thanks to the support of his friends.

The two spend as much time as possible together and discover a lot in common. At the urging of Ajay's friends, he confesses to having partially lied to Piya by adopting Piya's preferences. With a broken heart, Piya breaks up with him and doesn't want to have anything more to do with him.

As the journey on the cruise ship comes to an end, Ajay says goodbye to Piya, who has still not forgiven him for waiting for her. In the hope that she will return to him, Ajay leaves her his pocket watch and address.

And in fact, Piya returns to him because she has noticed how much Ajay loves her. The wedding follows shortly afterwards. Everything seems to be perfect until Piya cannot remember the way home after shopping. Totally helpless and crying, she wanders down the street. Coincidentally, Ajay is nearby and tries to calm Piya down. He doesn't miss the fact that something is wrong with Piya, because the store she went to is right across from her own apartment. That's why they go to a specialist. The diagnosis is Alzheimer's . In addition, Piya's pregnancy is mentioned, which worsens Piya's already poor health.

Even so, they choose to have the baby. When their son Aman is born, the problems increase. One day, Piya forgets her son in the bathtub, so that Aman almost drowns if Ajay hadn't arrived in time. This gives Ajay the opportunity to admit Piya to a clinic. But in the clinic, Piya is no better. She forgets the people around her, even Ajay.

After a while, Ajay confesses that the admission to the clinic ultimately only helped himself because he was relieved of the burden. That's why he brings Piya out of the clinic to make the common wishes of their lives come true. After all, they happily spend their silver wedding anniversary on a cruise ship.
