Ajay Devgn (formerly: Devgan) ( Hindi अजय देवगन Ajay Devagan ; Urdu اجے دیوگن* April 2, 1969 in Bombay , Maharashtra ; Real name: Vishal Veeru Devgan ) is an Indian film actor.

Life

Ajay Devgn's family is originally from the Punjab . His father Vishal Devgan is a well-known producer in India . His cousin Anil Devgan is a director in Bollywood.

Devgan attended Silver Beach High School at Juhu and Mithibai College.

He made his debut in Phool Aur Knte , alongside Amrish Puri . He won the Filmfare Award / Best Debut for the role . Ajay got his first National Award for the film Zakhm , although the film was rather poor in the box office. Devgn was best known for his action timing and for never allowing himself to be doubled. So he mainly played in this genre. It wasn't until the 1997 comedy Ishq that he managed to change his image and viewers accepted him as a romantic hero.

He has been married to actress Kajol since February 24, 1999 , whom he met on the set of the film Hulchul . Together they have acted in eight films to date. You have two children. Their daughter was born in April 2003 and they had a son in September 2010.

In 2005, Devgan appeared on the television show Kaun Banega Crorepati (the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? ) As a celebrity with his wife Kajol. They donated the money they won to a hospital in Chennai .

Since 2008 he has also worked as a director. His directorial debut is the film U, Me Aur Hum - Forever Us , in which Kajol plays.

Ajay Devgn changed his name in 2009 at the request of his mother. This is nothing new in India as it promises better luck.
