U-21 African Cup of Nations 1993 / qualification

The qualification for the U-21 African Cup of Nations in 1993 was held to determine the seven finalists alongside hosts Mauritius . The games took place between June 19 and September 13, 1992.

The registered teams determined the seven final round participants in two qualifying rounds in the knockout system with home and return legs. In the event of a tie, the away goal rule decided on progress. If there was also a tie, a penalty shoot- out was carried out without extra time .

First round

The first legs were played between June 19 and 21, the second legs between July 3 and 5, 1992.

Gambia withdrew its team. The other teams had no play.

Congo was disqualified.

Result

Ethiopia, Morocco, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroon and Egypt qualified for the finals.
