U-20 African Cup of Nations 2007 / qualification

The qualification for the U-20 African Cup of Nations 2007 was held to determine the seven finalists alongside hosts Republic of the Congo . The games took place between April 15 and October 22, 2006.

mode

The registered teams determined the seven final round participants in three qualifying rounds in the knockout system with home and return legs. In the event of a tie, the away goal rule decided on progress. If there was also a tie, a penalty shoot- out was carried out without extra time .

Preliminary round

The first legs were played between April 15 and 17, the second legs on April 29 and 30, 2006.

Swaziland, Uganda and Cape Verde withdrew their teams. Only one game was played between Kenya and Djibouti. The other teams had no play.

The first legs were played between August 4 and 6, and the second legs between August 18 and 20, 2006.

Nigeria, Zambia, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Burkina Faso, Cameroon and Egypt qualified for the finals.
