The subway station Archäologie-Museum / Kreuzkirche is a tunnel station in the independent city of Herne . It is part of the Bochum Stadtbahn . It is named after the LWL Museum for Archeology and the Kreuzkirche .

Location and structure

The underground station is located in the southern area of ​​downtown Hernes under Europaplatz and at the intersection of Bahnhofstrasse / Sodinger Strasse / Bochumer Strasse / Holsterhauser Strasse. In addition to the LWL Museum for Archeology and the Kreuzkirche, there is a shopping center, Herne City Marketing, the Herne cultural center, the district court and the Behrendspark in its vicinity.

It is located about 700 m south of the neighboring Herne Mitte underground station and about 700 m north of the neighboring Hölkeskampring underground station .
