Güntzelstrasse underground station
The Güntzelstraße underground station is a station on the U9 line of the Berlin underground that opened in January 1971 and is located under the Bundesallee between the intersections with Güntzelstraße and Trautenaustraße in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district .
In the BVG station directory , the station bears the designation Gt . It only has escalators and stone stairs to exit the central platform and is therefore not barrier-free .
The station walls are clad with orange tiles , the central supports are blue-green, the flat ceiling white.
Güntzelstrasse was named after Karl August Bernhard Güntzel, who was the head of the then independent community of Deutsch-Wilmersdorf from 1886 to 1892 .
Connection
At the underground station there is no direct transfer to other local public transport lines in Berlin .
