The Rathaus underground station is a local transport station in the urban district of Duisburg . It is part of the Duisburg Stadtbahn and is located in a tunnel with direct access to the Duisburg town hall and the Salvatorkirche , both in the historic city center on Burgplatz and the Königstraße / Kuhstraße pedestrian zone . The underground station is operated by the Duisburger Verkehrsgesellschaft (DVG) and served by line 901.

The station was designed by the architect Helmut Kohl and artistically designed by Paul Manfred Vogel. The wall surfaces of the underground station are clad with artistically designed, colored enameled sheets. Urban areas and motifs from the city's history are shown in red, blue and yellow. The center plays a formative role here.
