Ubiedrze

Ubiedrze ( German  Ubedel ) is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . The village belongs to the Gmina Bobolice (urban and rural municipality Bublitz) in the Powiat Koszaliński (Kösliner Kreis) .

Geographical location

The village is located in Western Pomerania , about 145 km northeast of Stettin and about 8 km northwest of the city center of Bublitz . It is elevated on the right bank of the Gotzel river , which flows north from Bublitz in the south to the confluence with the Radüe .

history

A rampart on a hill on the steep bank of the Gotzel comes from prehistoric times . The archaeologist Adolf Stubenrauch reported (1893) about "a large number of Wendish shards that lie around there in the gardens and courtyards of the village" and about a small prehistoric collection that consisted of several finds from Ubedel.

In Ludwig Wilhelm Brüggemann's Detailed Description of the Royal Prussian Duchy of Western and Western Pomerania (1784), Ubedel is listed among the villages of the Bublitz office in the Principality of Cammin . Ubedel was then "on the highway from Bublitz to Cößlin and Zanow ". In Ubedel there were ten farmers, a blacksmith who was also a Kruger, and a Büdner, a total of twelve households (“fire places”). Eight farmers from Ubedel had to do their service at the Vorwerk Schloßkämpen belonging to the office . The residents of Ubedel were obliged to have the Bevenhusen watermill , which was part of the office, ground ("forced meal guests").

In 1817 a water mill was built near Ubedel on the Gotzel. In the 19th century the population rose rapidly from 336 inhabitants in 1843 to 497 inhabitants around 1865. Also around 1865, 58 horses, 83 cattle, 776 sheep, 63 pigs and 10 goats were counted in Ubedel.

From the 19th century there were many Old Lutherans in Ubedel . After the state recognition of the Evangelical Lutheran (Old Lutheran) Church in 1845, a separate parish of the Old Lutherans in Ubedel was recognized in 1847, which also included two branches in Seefeld (also in the Fürstenthum district) and in Versin (in the Rummelsburg district). By 1865, 78 of the residents of Ubedel were members of this old Lutheran congregation.

When the Fürstenthum district was divided up in 1872 , Ubedel became part of the Bublitz district . In 1910 the rural community Ubedel had 419 inhabitants, in 1925 416 inhabitants in 89 households. The rural community of Ubedel became part of Köslin in 1932 when the Bublitz district was dissolved . In addition to Ubedel, the community also had the Forsthaus Schloßkämpen , Grünhof , Johannesthal , Lindenhof , Louisenhof , Mühle , Rosenhof and Schloßkämpen residential areas .

In 1945 Ubedel, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. The population was evicted and replaced by Poles . Ubedel received the Polish place name "Ubiedrze". Today the place belongs to the Gmina Bobolice (town and country municipality Bublitz) , in which it forms its own Schulzenamt .
