The Ugar ( Serbian - Cyrillic Угар ; until 1878 Brzica ) is a right tributary of the Vrbas in Bosnia and Herzegovina . Like Vrbanja , Ilomska and Bila, it rises on the Vlašić in an area called Prelivode . The river is about 44.5 km long and its catchment area covers 328 km 2 . Right tributaries are Pljačkovac, Ilomska, Kobilja, Zirin potok, Kusin potok and Ugrić; Lužnica, Dedića i Andrijevića potok, Bunar, Oraški and Kukavički potok flow in from the left.
Most of its course - from the mouth of the Ilomska - the Ugar flows through a deep gorge below Kneževo , before it flows into the Vrbas about 20 kilometers downstream from Jajce . In some places the gorge is more than 500 m deep and mostly inaccessible.
