The Uia di Ciamarella (or just: Ciamarella ) is a three-thousand-meter peak in the Graian Alps right on the Italian - French border, which separates the Maurienne ( Arctal ) from the Val d'Ala , one of the so-called Lanzo valleys , on the main Alpine ridge .
history
The first ascent took place on July 31, 1857 as part of surveying work by the engineer Antonio Tonini and his assistant Ambrosini. On the summit is a bust of the Salensian priest Leonardo Murialdo , who climbed the summit in 1867 .
