Ulf Diederichs

Ulf Diederichs (born May 14, 1937 in Jena ; died June 4, 2014 ) was a German publisher and author .

Ulf Diederichs came from an old publishing family, he was the grandson of the publisher's founder Eugen Diederichs (1867–1930). He ran the publishing house from 1973 to 1988 after his father Peter Diederichs, before it was sold to Heinrich Hugendubel in 1987 , and in 2008 the publishing house was transferred to the Random House publishing group in Munich .

Ulf Diederichs' main interests were fairy tales and legends and the philosophy of the East. For many years he was the editor of the Diederichs series, The Fairy Tales of World Literature, and the Yellow Series was published under his aegis . In addition to various other publications, he edited several anthologies.
