Ulla Graf-Nobis

Ulla Graf-Nobis , born Count (* thirtieth June 1939 in Aachen ; † 16th October 2016 ibid ) was a German pianist and university teacher.

Live and act

Ulla Graf-Nobis studied with Else Schmitz-Gohr at the Cologne University of Music and with the Argentine pianist Bruno Leonardo Gelber . She completed her studies with the concert exam.

After the former Aachen Grenzlandkonservatorium was integrated into the Cologne Music Academy, Graf-Nobis took over a professorship for piano in the new Aachen department in 1974 . Later she took over the office of Vice Dean in Aachen . In 2002 Graf-Nobis retired.

Graf-Nobis gave concerts in Paris , Brussels , Bratislava , Haarlem and Nancy, among others . She was also involved in several CD productions, including a recording from 1973, on which she premiered several works by the Ukrainian composer Sergei Eduardowitsch Bortkiewicz . In chamber music and song recitals, she played with well-known violinists , cellists and singers .

Ulla Graf-Nobis was married to the composer and university professor Herbert Nobis .
