Ulla Klomp

Ulla Klomp (also: Ursula E. Hochstätter-Klomp , former name: Ursula Hochstätter , born June 1, 1945 in Bad Salzuflen ) is a German writer and artist .

Life

Ulla Klomp grew up in Bremen , where she completed the subjects of drawing , painting and ceramics in the musical branch of the Kippenberg-Gymnasium . After graduating from high school , she studied German and geography in Cologne . She worked as a teacher for two decades, from 1978 to 1985 at the German School in Copenhagen . In addition, she worked on school books for German as a foreign language . She has been a freelance writer and artist since 1997 . She lives in Waldkirch near Freiburg and in Bellwald in Switzerland .

Ulla Klomp is a writer of novels , short stories and poems ; she also presents her texts in staged readings and performances . She also works as a painter, draftsman and photographer ; she was involved in numerous exhibitions in Germany and the Netherlands .

Ulla Klomp is a member of the PEN Center Germany , the Association of German Writers and the authors' association “ Die Kogge ”.
