Ulrich Beer

Ulrich Beer (born February 11, 1932 in Langlingen ; † May 11, 2011 in Eisenbach-Oberbränd ) was a German psychologist .

Life

Ulrich Beer attended the Ratsgymnasium in Hanover and studied psychology and philosophy at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg and zoology at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . During his studies at the University of Erlangen, he joined the Uttenruthia Erlangen, an association of the Schwarzburgbund , in the 1950 summer semester . In 1955 he was born in Bonn with the work “The theory of expression of Charles Darwin and its criticism. A contribution to the history of expressive science problems "on the Dr. phil. PhD. He was an educator in a youth hostel and in 1957 became director of the boarding school at Einsiedel hunting lodge near Tübingen. He was a lecturer at the Protestant School for Home Education in Reutlingen and started his own business as a psychologist in 1966. Since 1970 he has been teaching at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg ; In 1989 he was made an honorary professor. He was an expert on youth welfare law and a psychological advisor and commentator on the TV programs “ Marriage in front of the court ” and “ Von Mensch zu Mensch ”.

He published, partly with his wife Roswitha Stemmer-Beer, numerous scientific and non-fiction books; he was known as a traveling speaker. He was a columnist for Chrismon magazine . The Ulrich Beer Foundation award has been presented since 2010. Ulrich Beer died on May 11th 2011 in Eisenbach (Black Forest) after a long and serious illness.
