Ulrich Boës

Ulrich Hermann Willi Paul Boës (born January 30, 1911 in Elsdorf ; † June 22, 1997 in Münster ) was a German officer, most recently a brigadier general in the Bundeswehr .

Career

Boës joined the Reichswehr on April 1, 1930 . He was promoted to lieutenant on August 1, 1933. After the usual officer promotions he was promoted to major on July 1, 1942 and a month later i. G. with seniority January 1, 1942. His last promotion in the Wehrmacht was to lieutenant colonel i. G. on August 1, 1943.

After the formation of the Bundeswehr, he joined the Bundeswehr on January 1, 1956 and was retroactive to June 1, 1956 on August 30, 1956. January 1958 Colonel . He was appointed Brigadier General on April 15, 1965. Boës was u. a. Commander of Artillery Command 1 and Commander of the Artillery School in Idar-Oberstein from October 1963 to the end of September 1969.

His son is Hannsjörn Boës .
