Ulrich Müller-Doppler

Ulrich Georg Müller-Doppler (born August 7, 1961 in Cologne ) is a German flautist . He has been Professor of Flute at Liceo de Cagayan University in the Philippines since June 2013 .

Life

Ulrich Müller-Doppler comes from the family of flautists and composers Albert Franz Doppler and Karl Doppler . He began his music lessons at the age of four and studied with Walter Jeschke in Duisburg , Mathias Rütters in Essen and Jean Michel Tanguy in Brussels . He had private lessons and master classes with Jean-Pierre Rampal in Paris . He completed his studies with a Diplôme Supérieur with Jean Michel Tanguy at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels . He also attended master classes with Peter Lukas Graf and Andras Adorjan .

He played with various orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic , the Folkwang Chamber Orchestra Essen , the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra , the Rome Festival Orchestra (as principal flutist under Claudio Abbado ) and the Orchester National de Belgique. He has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician at various festivals, including a. 1996 at the International Flute Festival in Rome (Academia de Flautista) and 1998 at the International Flute Association of America with concerts and master classes in Boston , Atlanta and New Orleans .

He is a soloist and member of the chamber music trio Le Trio de Bruxelles , which he forms with Jean Michel Tanguy and Erich Faltermeier. In 1999 he was on a concert tour in Korea with the Trio de Bruxelles ; In 2000 a tour of the Benelux countries followed .

Müller-Doppler is the editor and has published transcriptions by Johann Sebastian Bach , Tschaikowsky and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart for flute and piano with Universal Edition . Müller-Doppler edited a. a. Mozart's five Divertimenti KV 439b, in the original scoring for two clarinets (basset horns) and bassoon , for flute and piano. He also presented arrangements for flute and piano from the little music book for Anna Magdalena Bach .
