Karl Doppler (born September 12, 1825 in Lemberg , † March 10, 1900 in Stuttgart ) was a Hungarian-German composer .

Franz Doppler's brother was a flute virtuoso and music director at the theater in Budapest until 1865 , then from 1865 to 1898 court conductor in Stuttgart . He composed several Hungarian operas (including A gránátos tábor - The Camp of the Grenadiers , 1853), music for Hungarian folk pieces, a collection of Hungarian folk dances and choirs. His son Árpád Doppler also worked as a composer. His daughter Olga Doppler-Alsen was a stage actress. Harry Alsen , also a stage actor, who was married to his son-in-law.
