Ulrich Teschner

Ulrich Teschner (born March 26, 1939 in Neuruppin ; † February 25, 2018 ) was a German actor , director and screenwriter .

Life

Teschner studied at the Leipzig Theater School . He then worked as an actor at various theaters in the GDR and assistant director at DEFA studios for feature films / short films in Potsdam-Babelsberg . In 1973 he became a freelance writer and director for the culture magazine of the GDR television . He dealt with the assassination attempt on July 20, 1944 , the Kreisauer Kreis and Henning von Tresckow . In 1986 he was banned from working for political reasons . In 1988 he left for West Berlin and worked for the RIAS .
