Ulrich von Jeinsen

Ulrich von Jeinsen (born June 21, 1952 in Hanover ) is a German lawyer and notary , Honorary Consul of Mexico for Lower Saxony , a university lecturer and honorary professor, and often volunteer in the areas of international understanding and the foundation system .

Life

Career

Ulrich von Jeinsen was born in 1952 as a member of the Lower Saxon noble family von Jeinsen in Hanover, the eldest of four sons of the farmer Henning von Jeinsen and the housewife Elisabeth, née Blomberg.

In the of of Jeinsen as his "hometown" designated village Gestorf which later than the district to Jump on Deister was incorporated, attended by Jeinsen from April 1959 to March 1963 the former elementary school to the high school and to Hanover from April of that year to change to the local Humboldt School , where he graduated from high school in May 1971.

In the same year 1971 Ulrich von Jeinsen went to Göttingen to study law at the Georg-August University , where he also studied musicology for a time.

After his first state legal examination in 1976 at the State Justice Examination Office at the Lower Saxony Ministry of Justice , he married his Karin, née Oehler, who was a medical student at the time and later a specialist in general and occupational medicine. The couple later had two sons and a daughter.

After his second state examination in law, von Jeinsen was admitted to the bar in 1979 by the Hanover District Court and the Hanover Regional Court , and from the same year began working as a lawyer specializing in agricultural, tax and corporate law in the law firm Dr. Stakemann, Raven & Chest . The following year, in 1980 wrote his dissertation of Jeinsen on customer protection clauses in exchange contracts by German and European antitrust law and a doctorate in Göttingen to Dr. jur. with Ulrich Immenga .

In 1982 Ulrich von Jeinsen moved to the law firm Dr. Heesen, Dr. Göhmann, Dr. Dieselhorst, Dr. Runge-Heesen, Scherrer and Meinecke , whereby von Jeinsen expanded his main areas of activity to include general procedural law.

In 1984 von Jeinsen became a partner in the law firm Dr. Heesen, which was named "Göhmann Rechtsanwälte, Notare" after various mergers. In the following year 1985, von Jeinsen was awarded the title of " specialist lawyer for tax law ".

After von Jeinsen was made Honorary Consul of the United Mexican States for Lower Saxony in 1993, he was appointed notary for the district of the Higher Regional Court of Celle (OLG Celle) with an official seat in Hanover in 1995 . In 2002 he was also admitted to the bar there.

Von Jeinsen has been a lecturer at the Leibniz University of Hanover since 2003 . In 2010 he was appointed honorary professor at the law faculty there.

Voluntary engagement

Since his appointment as Honorary Consul of the United Mexican States for the state of Lower Saxony in 1993, Ulrich von Jeinsen has been supporting Mexicans residing in Lower Saxony in administrative and other matters with his advice or as their interest representative. Ulrich von Jeinsen also supports "institutions, companies and private individuals in the context of cultural, economic and scientific exchange between the United States of Mexico and the State of Lower Saxony and promotes mutual relationships."

From 2003 to 2010 Ulrich von Jeinsen was a member of the board of the German-Mexican Society . In 2006 von Jeinsen joined the core team of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) - Lower Saxony Chapter. He represented their interests from 2011 to 2013 as Co-Chairman, since 2013 in the office of Chair.

In the meantime, von Jeinsen was elected to the board of trustees of the Walter and Charlotte Hamel Foundation for the promotion of young talents, especially classical singing, in 2004. In the same year he became a member of the board of Prof. Dr. Heinz Rögener Foundation , which helps economically disadvantaged young people to study mechanical engineering . Also as a board member, von Jeinsen was involved in the Kurt Alten Foundation for “ elite support ”, which supports young people in developing and applying their special abilities and talents.

Further honors

Ending for his soon a quarter century of voluntary work in the sense of understanding and of foundations was Ulrich von Jeinsen on 16 December 2016 in the Council Chamber of the New Town Hall of Hanover by Mayor Stefan Schostok on behalf of the President, the Order of Merit of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany awarded.
