Umberto Tramma

Umberto Tramma (born November 24, 1931 in Naples , Italy , † November 1, 2000 in Rome ) was a Curia Bishop of the Roman Catholic Church .

Life

Umberto Tramma received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Naples on May 27, 1954 . He received his doctorate in canon law . Tramma then taught at the seminary in Naples. He was also pastor of the Basilica of San Giorgio Maggiore in Naples.

On June 23, 1990 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the Bishop of Nola . The Archbishop of Naples, Michele Cardinal Giordano , donated him episcopal ordination on September 9 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Capua , Luigi Diligenza , and the Bishop of Ischia , Antonio Pagano . On March 20, 1999, he was also called to be a member of the Congregation for the Clergy .

On March 25, 1999, John Paul II appointed him official of the Pontifical Council for Legal Texts .
