The União das Freguesias de Meixedo e Padornelos is a Portuguese municipality ( Freguesia ) in the district ( concelho ) Montalegre in northern Portugal .

history

The municipality was created in the course of the regional reform of September 29, 2013 by merging the former municipalities of Meixedo and Padornelos .

Meixedo became the seat of the new administration.
