The Uni-Jolle is an easy-to-use two-man dinghy with trapeze and spinnaker .

history

The Uni-Jolle was designed in the 1980s as a training and instruction boat by the Meyba Boats shipyard in Kiel and has been manufactured by them ever since. It is designed for novice sailors, especially in the university environment, and is currently used by the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel , the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin , the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and the Universität Konstanz , among others .

hull

The hull is made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic in a multi-chamber design with watertight side tanks and watertight foredeck. In the side tanks there are also fixed floats, which guarantee the unsinkability of the dinghy, even when the side tanks are full. The hull construction is a wide, inherently stable knickspant .

Rigging, rigging, sails

The mast is made of aluminum. It is stabilized by steel shrouds and the forestay . A trapeze device for the bow is also attached to the mast. In addition to a mainsail and a jib, the dinghy also has a spinnaker. The boat is equipped with a few simple trim options and is particularly suitable for beginners.

sailing

Well sailable from 1 to 6 Bft , above that it can be sailed by experienced crews.
