The Unicode block Unified CJK Ideograms, Extension A (CJK Unified Ideographs Extension A, U + 3400 to U + 4DBF) contains additional Chinese characters . It was added in Unicode version 3.0. The terms “ideographs” in the original or “ideograms” in the translation are misleading, as the scripts represented are strictly speaking not conceptual scripts (see ideography ).
