Until 2015, the skyscraper was the headquarters of the investment company Union Investment , then it was relocated to the new Maintor Porta building in Frankfurt's banking district . Union Investment intends to continue using the skyscraper named after it until summer 2019, when all other employees are to move to the Winx skyscraper . The Union Investment high-rise was sold to the GEG German Estate Group in November 2014 and is to be extensively redeveloped after Union Investment moved out. The investors are planning to convert the office building into a residential tower called the Riverpark Tower based on a design by the architect Ole Scheeren . In addition to apartments, a boarding house or hotel will also be housed. Completion is planned for 2022.
