Unterbrunn is a district of Gauting in the Starnberg district in Upper Bavaria . The parish village is located in the southwest of Munich , has a rural character and was incorporated into Gauting in 1978 as part of the municipal reform.

Unterbrunn is located between Gilching and Oberbrunn, east of State Road 2069.
