Oberbrunn , a district of the municipality of Gauting , is a church village and a district in the Upper Bavarian district of Starnberg .
location
The church village of Oberbrunn is located east of State Road 2069 between Unterbrunn and Starnberg . A country road that branches off leads to the neighboring village of Hausen, one and a half kilometers away .
The towns of Oberbrunn, Hausen and Oberwies are located on the 11.16 square kilometer district .
history
Like Unterbrunn, Stockdorf and Buchendorf, Oberbrunn was an early Bavarian expansion site of Gauting . The place was first mentioned in the 12th century as a prunnen superior . It is unclear whether prunen in 753 refers to Oberbrunn, Unterbrunn or Geisenbrunn . The settlement consisted mainly of larger farms with over 200 daily work : In the middle of the 18th century there were 17 properties, five of which were full and four half farms. Today, however, there are hardly any structures left that were built before the late 19th century. Only one courtyard north of the church still corresponds to the type of house with a flat gable roof that was widespread in the first half of the 19th century.
The municipality of Oberbrunn with its parts of the municipality of Oberbrunn, Hausen and Oberwies was incorporated into Gauting on May 1, 1978 as part of the municipal reform. The decision to do so in the local council was extremely tight with 5 to 4 votes. The incorporation contract contained numerous local features such as maintaining the water supply from Starnberg , protecting the rural character of the farming village and granting building permits only for locals and their descendants.
