Ursula Berner

Ursula Berner (* 1971 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( Greens ). Since March 1, 2019, she has been a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council .

Life

Ursula Berner studied social history , German studies and theater studies at the University of Vienna from 1989 to 2000 , completing her degree with a Magistra . From 2007 she attended the Rosa Mayreder College in Vienna, where she obtained a Master of Arts in international gender research and feminist politics in 2008 .

From 1993 to 2004 she worked as a producer , presenter and editor , including for ORF ( Ö1 and Radio Wien ). From 1997 to 2000 she also worked as a lecturer . From 2005 to 2007 she was the office manager of the Green Economy Vienna, then until 2018 she was the expert for knowledge management in the Green Club in Parliament . She has been head of the District Museum in Neubau since 2013, and has been a consultant for Municipal Department 7 for District Culture and Interculturality since 2018 .

politics

Ursula Berner has been involved with the Wiener Grünen for culture, women and social affairs since 2004 , from 2005 she was district councilor in Vienna's seventh district, Neubau , where she also acted as a club chairwoman from 2006 to 2011.

On March 1, 2019, she succeeded Christoph Chorherr , who resigned his mandate at the end of February, in the 20th electoral period as a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council, where she acts as social and family spokeswoman.
