Ursula Kundert

Ursula Kundert (born March 11, 1970 in Zurich ) is a German and Swiss literary scholar as well as a former Zurich constitutional councilor and dragon boat athlete.

Life

Ursula Kundert grew up in the canton of Zurich and studied German language and literature, political science , international law and European law at the University of Zurich and the University of Granada . In 1994 she received the Erasmus Prize from the European Union .

Her academic career took her to the German Seminar of the University of Zurich, to the Collegium Helveticum , as a junior professor at the University of Kiel , to the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin, to the University of Konstanz and the University of Bern , to the Technical University of Braunschweig and to the University of Würzburg .

She is a private lecturer in German literature of the Middle Ages and the early modern period at Kiel University.

politics

Kundert was a member of the Zurich Constitutional Council from 2000 to 2003 . She worked in the Commission for Political Rights and Citizenship.

Sports

As a member of the Swiss national dragon boat team, Kundert won a silver medal at the 1998 European Championships in Rome and a bronze medal at the 1999 World Championships in Nottingham .
