Uta Belina Waeger
Uta Belina Waeger (* 1966 in Lustenau in Vorarlberg ) is a visual artist who mainly devotes herself to object and installation art. She lives and works in Munich and Dornbirn
Life
In 1984 she was admitted to the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna , where she studied small-scale sculpture in Ferdinand Welz's master class . Between 1985 and 1988 she completed her studies in design with Peter Weibel and Bernhard Leitner and in textile work with Sepp Moosmann at the University of Applied Arts Vienna . In 1988 Uta Belina Waeger received the Austrian-American Fulbright Scholarship for two years of study in the USA. She completed her graduate studies in painting with Ted Kurahara at the Pratt Institute in New York in 1990 with a " Master of Fine Arts " and in 1991 at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna with the degree of " Magistra Artium " . From 2002 Uta Belina Waeger was appointed to international teaching positions; so she taught u. a. 2002 at the Warsaw University of Education, Poland, 2003 at the University of Lapland (art academy) Rovaniemi, Finland, 2006–2010 at the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences , Dornbirn, Austria, 2007–2010 at the School of Design, St. Gallen , Switzerland and 2010 at of Hangzhou Art University ( Chinese College of Arts ), PR China. Between 2012 and 2013 Waeger devoted himself to studying philosophy at the Munich School of Philosophy .
