Ute Nestler , married Kühne , (born December 31, 1960 in Annaberg-Buchholz ) is a former cross-country skier from the GDR .

Nestler was born in December 1960 as the daughter of Heinz and Christine Nestler . Her greatest successes were four titles won between 1976 and 1982 with the cross-country relay of SC Traktor Oberwiesenthal at GDR championships. In her only participation in the Winter Olympics , she finished in Lake Placid in 1980 with about 46 seconds behind the winner Raissa Petrovna Smetanina in 16th place over five kilometers. In the other two races of these Olympic Games, which ended with two GDR victories led by Barbara Petzold , Nestler was not involved.

She is the mother of Andy Kühne .
