Uwe Serke
Uwe Serke (born May 24, 1968 in Frankfurt-Höchst ) is a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .
education and profession
Uwe Serke grew up in Frankfurt-Sossenheim and passed his Abitur in Höchst at the Friedrich-Dessauer-Gymnasium in 1987 . He then studied business administration at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University and worked at a Frankfurt bank.
politics
Uwe Serke has been a member of the CDU since he was 16, where he held various board positions. In the local elections in Hesse in 1997 he was elected to the local advisory council 6, to which he belonged for 14 years as chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. From 2011 to 2016 he was a member of the city council in Frankfurt am Main .
In the state elections in Hesse in 2013 , he was directly elected to the Hessian state parliament in the constituency of Frankfurt am Main I with 39.7% of the first votes. In this position he was the successor to Alfons Gerling , who had represented the constituency for a quarter of a century. In the Hessian Landtag, Uwe Serke is a member of the Interior Committee, the Legal Committee, the Prison Sub-Committee, the Petitions Committee and the Committee of Inquiry 19/2.
In the state elections in Hesse in 2018 , Serke was able to defend his direct mandate in the constituency of Frankfurt am Main I. In the Hessian state parliament, he is a member of the interior committee, the legal committee and the subcommittee of the penal system and is the penal policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group.
Serke is also chairman of the CDU Sossenheim and chairman of the CDU Arbeitsgemeinschaft West, the union of the CDU district associations in the western district .
In terms of club life, he is chairman of the city association of Frankfurter Vereinsringe, an umbrella organization of the association rings of the individual Frankfurt districts, to which around 1,100 clubs with around 350,000 members belong.
