Uyuni ( also Zona Pucará ) is a town in the La Paz department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Uyuni is the central place of the canton Uyuni in the municipality of Colquiri in the province of Inquisivi . The village is located at an altitude of 3724  m on the Río Taypuma, which flows downstream into the Río Leque .
