The Výhledy (German: Oberkunreuthberg) is a wooded mountain in the Bavarian - Czech border area, south of Schirnding in Upper Franconia . The summit is 656  m nm in the eastern part of the cabbage forest on the Czech side. On the Bavarian side, the mountain is still referred to as Oberkunreuthberg or often Schwarzberg (based on the nearby Grünberg ).

geography

The Výhledy is the highest point of the cabbage forest in the southeastern Fichtelgebirge (northeast Bavaria). Most of the mountain and the summit region are located in the Czech Republic in the Smrčiny Nature Park (German: Fichtelgebirge).

In the geomorphological classification of the neighboring Czech Republic , the Chebská pahorkatina (German: Egerer Hügelland) is assigned to the (High) Fichtel Mountains as the main unit Smrčiny (I3A-1).

Waters

In addition to numerous springs and brooks, the Feisnitz, which rises from two spring brooks at Výhledy, is the largest watercourse in the Kohlwald. It flows on the southern edge of the mountain in a westerly direction. The Buchbach and the Hundsbach also arise from the Výhledy and flow in a north-easterly and south-westerly direction.

history

The mountain was named after the village of Oberkunreuth (Czech: Horní Hraničná ) at its eastern foot . On the south-east slope is in the immediate vicinity of the border on the Czech side at about 620 m above sea level. NN a stone cross .

Buildings

The well house of the Buchbrunnen is located on the western slope of the Výhledy , directly on the border between Bavaria and Bohemia .
