The Všesportovní stadium ( German multisport stadium ) is a football stadium with an athletics facility in the Czech city of Hradec Králové in the north-east Bohemian region of Královéhradecký kraj . The team of the football club FC Hradec Králové will meet their opponents in the venue in Malšovice.
history
Today's stadium was opened with the finish of the 3rd stage of the international peace drive on May 11, 1966. To deny Spartak Hradec Králové and the Brazilian club CR Vasco da Gama (2: 3), the first football game at the stadium. The most striking feature of the Všesportovní stadium is the floodlight system built in 1975 . The shape of the four masts, each weighing 45 tons and 55 meters high, is reminiscent of oversized lollipops . Hence the nickname Stadion pod lízátky ( German stadium under the lollipops ) of the sports facility.
The stadium offers a total of 25,000 visitors. Most of the grandstands are equipped with wooden benches and not with individual seats. The wide round has a small canopy on the main and opposite stands. A cinder track runs around the natural grass field . However, the system does not comply with UEFA - like FIFA regulations. After more plastic seats were installed in January 2011; there are currently only 7,000 seats available.
In March 2017, FC Hradec Králové presented plans for the renovation and expansion of the stadium. The club had plans for a new building in the drawer for over six years. However, since no private investors were found, this project has not yet been implemented and has been shelved by the new plans . The renovation is to be carried out while the game continues, so the four tiers are gradually being demolished and rebuilt. The starting shot for the work with costs of around 16 million euros, which is to be paid for with public funds, should be given in spring 2018. After the renovation, more than 9,291 seats, 550 of which are business seats, are planned. Completion is planned for 2020.
