history
The foundation stone for today's VR Bank was laid on December 13, 1914 by 20 Forchheim merchants and craftsmen. The Gewerbliche Creditverein eGmbH Forchheim was founded on that day. In the 1920s the name was changed to Volks-Bank Forchheim. In 1973 a branch was opened in Ebermannstadt .
In 1989 a wave of mergers began. It was merged with the Raiffeisen banks Eggolsheim , Hallerndorf , Burk - Buckenhofen , Forchheim- Reuth and Ebermannstadt- Gößmannsberg .
In 2002 the merger with Raiffeisenbank Pretzfeld and Raiffeisenbank Gößweinstein - Obertrubach - Bieberbach followed .
In 2019, the company merged with VR Bank Bamberg eG Raiffeisen. It transferred its assets to Volksbank Forchheim, which moved its headquarters to the previous headquarters of VR Bank Bamberg.
