Val Bisoglio

Val Bisoglio (born May 7, 1926 in New York City , New York ) is an American actor .

Life

Bisoglio began his acting career in the 1960s on the stages of New York, among others he appeared on Broadway in Wait Until Dark . He then appeared in television series such as Bonanza , The Boss, and Miami Vice . He was best known for his role as restaurant owner Danny Tovo in the crime series Quincy , which he played in a total of 138 episodes between 1976 and 1983. In the cinema, he made his perhaps best-known appearance as the unemployed father of John Travolta in the movie Saturday Night Fever (1977). Bisoglio was mostly set to Italian-American characters in his roles . Most recently he was in front of the camera in 2002 for the television series Die Sopranos in three episodes in the role of demented gangster Murf Lupo .
