Valentin Vasile Năstase (born October 4, 1974 in Călineşti , Argeş County ) is a former Romanian football player . He played a total of 292 games in the Romanian Liga 1 and the Italian Serie A .
Career
Năstase began his professional career in 1993 with the Romanian football clubs Gloria Bistrița and FC Argeş Piteşti before moving to the capital city Dinamo Bucharest in 1999 .
In 2002 Năstase went to the Italian Serie B to Genoa 1893 , from where he moved to US Palermo in the same year , where he played with Luca Toni and rose to Serie A at the end of the 2003/2004 season . Năstase moved to Bologna in 2004 , with whom he had to relegate to Serie B at the end of the season. For the 2006/07 season, the central defender moved to his fourth Italian club, Ascoli Calcio , in Serie A.
In 2007 Năstase returned to Romania, but could not prevail at Dinamo Bucharest and signed a contract with Eintracht Braunschweig on January 31, 2008 , who were then playing in the regional league . With the unity he managed to qualify for the 3rd division . In the summer of 2009 he returned to Romania and from now on plays for his former club Gloria Bistrița. With Gloria he had to relegate to League II after the 2010/11 season , but managed to get promoted again immediately. He ended his active career at the end of 2012 at the age of 38.
