Valentin Schreyer (born December 25, 1978 in Kitzbühel ) is an Austrian film , television and theater actor .

Life

He completed his four-year acting training at the Vienna Conservatory with distinction. Immediately thereafter, Thomas Birkmayr discovered him, who made his debut in the role of Claudio in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing at the Theater in der Josefstadt.

Even during his acting training, Valentin Schreyer had roles in various works for cinema: Der Bockerer III (Epo-Film) and Nogo (Dor-Film) as well as television: Der Bulle von Tölz (Alexander-Film) and Julia - An Unusual Woman (Dor -Movie). Shortly after training at the Vienna Conservatory, he was nominated as a shooting star for Romy through his portrayal as the Roman head in Miss Else (SK-Film) .

In addition to his work in film and television, Valentin Schreyer has played at the Staatstheater Kassel and the Salzburg Festival, among others.

After a one-year engagement at the house, Schreyer took part in the film The Last Dance , which won an Austrian Film Prize in 2015 and the main prize for the best feature film at Diagonale in 2014.

In addition to his work as an actor, Schreyer repeatedly works as a speaker for documentaries, radio readings and audio books.

Private

Valentin Schreyer lives with his son and partner Cosima Viola in Vienna and Kitzbühel. His hobbies include longboarding and electronic music . He himself plays the saxophone and guitar. In total he learned to play seven instruments. Books by Leo Perutz are also close to his heart.
