Pavlova's work includes painting, sculpture, drawing and photography, which are implemented as individual works or in series, but also in projects in public space that are carried out in an interdisciplinary way and presented as installations.

In her works, Pavlova deals in a wide variety of means with the visuality of signs (typefaces) as well as the archeology of abstract forms (from outside to inside) and the figure (idol cycles). The intrinsic relationship between art and history is a central part of her work. Here, fragments of historical memory are used as a driving force in an artistic process that unfolds in the search for clues.

This is how the large-scale project Kinderhimmel emerged, which Pavlova has been continuously developing since 1990 as an open, unfinished work (art-historically “work-in-progress”) and which synthesizes its diverse approaches.
