history

The exact time the church was built is unknown. It was probably built in the 12th or 13th century and emerged from a Romanesque chapel .

The wooden ceiling and the tower body are remnants of the Romanesque predecessor chapel. The chapel has been used as a parish church since 1543 .

In 1719/20 there were major renovations to the church . The nave was lengthened and galleries were built into the hall. The nave got bigger windows. In 1778 the organ building company Trampel built the organ . The Romanesque apse in the east was demolished in 1872. In 1899 the interior was designed and painted. The last major construction work was carried out in 1924.

In 1987 the tower hood was saved from the impending collapse; rainwater had penetrated through the defective roof. The repair work was found in the finial stored documents from 1711, 1865 and 1903. In 1990, more documents were added to the new finial.

After the reunification of the two German states , the church tower was renovated. 1991-1992 the tower and the ship were plastered again. In 1993 the electrical system was renewed and a radio-controlled tower clock was installed .

In 1994 the church roof was sponged with the following covering of the front church roof.

The parish commissioned 1994 Innenausmalung the house. On August 18, 1996, the new inauguration took place on Valentine's Day.
