Valerie Curtin

Valerie Curtin (born March 31, 1945 in New York City ) is an American actress and screenwriter .

Life and accomplishments

Curtin started her acting career and screenwriting career around the same time. She made her actress debut in an episode of the 1974 television series Happy Days . In the 1974 film drama Alice Does Not Live Here by Martin Scorsese , she appeared on the side of Ellen Burstyn , Kris Kristofferson , Harvey Keitel and Jodie Foster . She played in the comedy Die ... und Leben Leben (1986) - on the side of Peter Falk , Alan Arkin and Beverly D'Angelo- her last role in a movie so far. She then appeared on a number of television series, including three episodes of The District - Washington TV series from 2000.

Curtin wrote the scripts for some of the episodes of the television series Oh Mary in the 1970s . She and then-husband Barry Levinson wrote the script for the 1979 film drama ... and Justice for All , for which she was nominated for an Oscar . Together with Barry Levinson she also wrote the screenplay for the comedy Deadly Toys (1992), which Levinson directed with Robin Williams and Joan Cusack .

Curtin was married to Barry Levinson from 1975 to 1982.
