Vanessa Huppenkothen Labra (born July 24, 1985 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican presenter and model .

Life

The daughter of a Mexican woman and the former German soccer player Dieter Huppenkothen from Duisburg was born in Mexico City. She grew up in Mexico, but also often lived with her father in Duisburg. At that time she attended FC Schalke 04 games in the Park Stadium and is still a fan of the Bundesliga soccer team . In addition to Spanish and German , she speaks English , French and Greek . After graduating from high school, Huppenkothen studied international relations at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México , because she wanted to become an ambassador in Germany at the time. She wrote her master's thesis on FIFA . In 2011, Huppenkothen married the Mexican banker Juan Fernández Recamier. Two years later the two separated; The divorce followed in 2015.

Career

In parallel to her studies, she started modeling. In 2007 she was named Miss Mexico City 2007 . She won a job as a sports journalist for the Mexican broadcaster Televisa Deportes through a TV competition . In 2008 she hosted the 2008 Summer Olympics from Beijing . At the 2010 World Cup in South Africa , she reported on the Mexican national soccer team and their games.

Huppenkothen has made a number of appearances on Mexican television series. She played herself in an episode of Noticiero Televisa Deportes from 2008, as well as in an episode of ¡Despierta America! In 2010 . . In 2011, she impersonated a reporter in an episode of Los Héroes del Norte .
