Varghese Thottamkara
Varghese Thottamkara CM (born June 2, 1959 in Thottuva , Kerala , India ) is Vicar Apostolic of Nekemte .
Life
Varghese Thottamkara joined the religious community of the Lazarists and made perpetual profession on May 10, 1986 . Thottamkara received on 6 January 1987, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On 28 June 2013 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Chullu and ordered him to Koadjutorvikar of Nekemte in Ethiopia . The former bishop of Sora-Aquino-Pontecorvo , Luca Brandolini CM, donated him the episcopal ordination on August 13 of the same year; Co-consecrators were the Vicar Apostolic of Nekemte, Theodorus van Ruijven CM, and the Vicar Apostolic of Jimma-Bonga , Markos Ghebremedhin CM.
With the age-related resignation of his predecessor Theodorus van Ruijven, he succeeded him on November 10, 2013 in the office of Vicar Apostolic of Nekemte.
