In his second season in the Regionalliga he came to 29 missions in which he was able to score a goal.

For the 2002/03 season he moved to the second division club FC Lustenau 07 . In July 2002 he made his debut for Vorarlberg in the second division when he was substituted on for Christian Schrammel on the second day of that season against DSV Leoben in stoppage time . On the fourth matchday he was against SV Wörgl for the first time in the Lustenauer starting line-up. In his first season in the second division he came to 32 missions in which he remained without a goal; Lustenau ended the season in seventh place in the table. In his second season in the "Ländle" Jerkovic came to 18 league appearances and ended the 2003/04 season with the club as ninth in the table, which meant that they had to be relegated to relegation. In this one lost both games against the champions of the Regionalliga West, SCR Altach , and thus had to relegate to the Regionalliga. Jerkovic was not used in the relegation. Despite the relegation, he stayed loyal to the Lustenauers and completed 27 games in the Regionalliga West for the club in the 2004/05 season. As third in the table, however, he missed direct re-promotion with the club , only one point missing from champions FC Kufstein . After the missed promotion, he left the club after the 2004/05 season.

After several months without a club, he moved to the second division FC Kufstein in November 2005. For the Tyroleans he was used in three second division games in the 2005/06 season, but at the end of the season he had to relegate the club to the regional league as bottom of the table. After relegation, Jerkovic moved to the second division TSV Hartberg in September 2006 . In October 2006 he scored his first goal in the second-highest Austrian division in a 3-1 win against the second team of FK Austria Wien . By the end of the 2006/07 season he completed 25 games in the second division for Styria, in which he scored three goals. However, as in the previous season with Kufstein, he had to relegate to the regional league as bottom of the table with the club.

After relegation he returned to the 2007/08 season for regional division SC Eisenstadt. For the club from the capital of Burgenland, he completed 21 games in the Regionalliga Ost that season, in which he remained without a goal. After the bankruptcy of the club, however, the Burgenland stopped their game operations in April 2008 after the 24th matchday. After relegation, Jerkovic moved to the fifth-class Lower Austrian club ASK-BSC Bruck / Leitha for the 2011/12 season . After five seasons in the 2nd national league with the club, they rose to the national league as champions in 2016 . In the first season in the fourth-highest division he was able to become champion straight away with Bruck and move up to the regional league, pursuer SV Leobendorf failed because of the worse goal difference. In the promotion season 2016/17 he was used in 28 games in the national league and scored four goals. With Bruck he reached ninth place in the table in the first regional league season. Jerkovic made 26 appearances in the regional league in the 2017/18 season, but remained without a goal. He also took part with Bruck in the ÖFB Cup that season , where after a first round win against SC Bad Sauerbrunn in the second round, they only failed in extra time at champions FC Red Bull Salzburg .
