The parish church of St. Veit is a Roman Catholic church in the market town of Passail in Styria.

The church is mentioned in a document in 1240. The Gothic building was completely renovated in the second half of the 17th century. The original patronage until 1707 was St. Michael .

The two-bay choir with a semicircular end is groin vaulted on wall templates and has a pilaster structure with stair turrets on the outside and was built in 1667 according to the plans of the builder Matthias Karner . The three- bay nave , with side chapels and galleries , with groin vaults on belts on high pilasters, as well as the sacristy with a late Gothic shoulder arch portal with iron-studded door and an oratory on the north side of the choir, was built from 1685 to 1696 according to the plans of the architect Jakob Loaf grown. The square front tower ( main portal tower ) presented in the west was raised in 1837.

The frescoes in the choir were created by Josef Adam Mölck in the 4th quarter of the 18th century and were restored by Ludwig von Kurz zum Thurn and Goldenstein in 1931 , with Ludwig von Kurz adding the frescoes on the front arch of the Ascension of Christ and the neo-baroque decorative paintings in the nave.

The high altar bears the altarpiece of the Assumption of St. Veit by Josef Adam Mölck from 1781. On the side of the nave are six chapel altars. The side altar pictures of the 14th Helper Altar and the Donatus Altar are by Johann Veit Hauck around 1730. The pulpit from 1869 has reliefs and acoustic roof figures from the end of the 17th century.

There is a bell by Hans B. Porta from 1650. The organ is from 1880. The glass windows are from 1904.
