Venchan Peak (English; Bulgarian връх Венчан wrach Wentschan ) is a 1100 m high and mostly icy mountain in the Stribog Mountains on the Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises at the end of a ridge that extends from Mount Parry towards Lanusse Bay . It is located 2.46 km northwest of Mount Parry, 3.85 km east-northeast of Minot Point and 6.3 km southeast of Driencourt Point . Its steep south-west, north-west and north-east slopes are partially free of ice. The Djerassi glacier is north of it.
British scientists mapped it in 1980 and 2008. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2015 after the town of Wentschan in northeastern Bulgaria .
